Bio
Jade-Kano He
Composer, Orchestrator
Jade is a Los Angeles-based composer and orchestrator whose music brings a vivid thematic architecture and deep emotional resonance to visual storytelling. Specializing in intricate orchestral arranging and cinematic hybrid scores, she acts as a sonic bridge between a director’s raw narrative vision and the complex, moving parts of a live ensemble.
Born and raised in Shanghai before moving to the United States, Jade possesses a deeply rooted bicultural perspective that heavily influences her musical voice. Her artistic background seamlessly bridges classical tradition and jazz improvisation, with a training trajectory that includes studies at the Musicians Institute (MI), UCLA, and New York University (NYU). This versatile cross-cultural foundation fueled a prolific career in interactive media, including serving as a Senior Composer for Bilibili’s mobile game department, where she was a core composer for the global RPG Higan: Eruthyll. An expert in game music design, she has also contributed orchestration to the global phenomenon Genshin Impact and composed for massive, iconic Chinese IPs such as The Three-Body Problem (三体) and The Legend of Sword and Fairy (仙剑).
Having recently relocated to Los Angeles, Jade is actively bringing her global production experience to new collaborations in film and multimedia. She is currently scoring an upcoming documentary profiling an internationally renowned female artist dedicated her life restoring the ancient murals of Dunhuang's Mogao Caves (莫高窟). This project directly reflects her core artistic mission: a deep commitment to amplifying the voices of women in the arts and preserving traditional Chinese cultural heritage through modern, universally resonant storytelling. As she plants roots in Southern California, she welcomes new creative partnerships and inquiries for upcoming projects across film, television and interactive media.
